Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game, 2D Fighting Game Announced for Avatar

Gameplay Group International has announced Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game. It is a 2D fighting game inspired by the animated series Avatar: The Last Airbender, featuring fast-paced combat and a presentation that closely resembles the original work. The game will include 12 selectable characters at launch, with many more planned later via Season Pass. Also included will be a single-player campaign with an original story and online multiplayer with cross-play (they also mention "best-in-class" netcode, but rollback has not yet been confirmed).

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is expected to be released in the summer of 2026 on PC via Steam, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Here is the announcement trailer.
