Aphelion Shows Off in First Gameplay Trailer
A deep dive into the sci-fi title, coming out in spring
French studio Don't Nod has shared the first gameplay trailer for Aphelion, a sci-fi action/adventure developed with the consultation of the European Space Agency (ESA). Set in the not-too-distant future, this game tells the story of a space journey to Persephone, a new planet discovered at the edge of the solar system, which could represent humanity's last hope for salvation after making Earth uninhabitable.
In the video, we follow the two protagonists, Ariane and Thomas, as they conduct their reconnaissance mission on the planet. Exploration of the icy landscapes involves scanning the surrounding areas to identify points of interest, followed by movement on foot and climbing. The trailer also hints at what appears to be rather elementary puzzle solving. A further addition is provided by stealth sections, to evade a mysterious, but clearly hostile, alien entity.

Where and When Aphelion is Released
Aphelion will be released in spring 2026. You will find Don't Nod's new work on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam, Xbox PC). Furthermore, it will be offered from day one on the Xbox Game Pass service.
