Akatori Finally Has a Release Date, and It's Soon

The game we are about to tell you about was announced way back in 2020 by TeamNora Games, under the provisional name of Deathstick and an even more provisional launch window, set for 2022. Since then, many things have changed: development has passed into the hands of the Kazakh studio Contrast Games, the game's name has become Akatori, and for its release, well, as you may have guessed, there was much more waiting to be done.

Where and When Akatori Will Be Released

Akatori is a 2.5D metroidvania that follows protagonist Mako through different time eras, as she battles enemies wielding her staff. This video game will be released on August 5, 2026, on PC (Steam), while a week later, on August 12, it will also debut on consoles PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S.
