Ys, Dragon Slayer, and The Legend of Xanadu are Coming Back to PC and Consoles
Edia has partnered with Falcom to re-release these classic PC-Engine JRPGs

Japanese company Edia has entered into an agreement with Falcom to bring the early installments of the Ys, Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes, and The Legend of Xanadu sagas to current-generation platforms. All of these JRPGs originally launched on PC Engine CD-ROM² in the first half of the 1990s, and most never made it to the West. This is an excellent opportunity to remedy that. Below is the list of announced titles:
- Ys I & II (1989)
- Ys III (1991)
- Ys IV: The Dawn of Ys (1993)
- Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes (1991)
- Dragon Slayer: The Legend of Heroes II (1992)
- The Legend of Xanadu (1994)
- The Legend of Xanadu II (1995)
Their return to the scene is expected between 2026 and 2027, referring to fiscal years, and we do not yet know precisely which platforms they will be released on. We will keep you informed of any updates.
