Wreckreation 2: The Announcement Trailer

In October 2025, Wreckreation, an open-world arcade racing game where users could customize not only their car but also the surrounding environment, was launched. Unfortunately, this title met a sad end: after less than two months, its developer, Three Fields Entertainment, closed its doors, complaining of inadequate support from publisher THQ Nordic.

It seemed like the end of the road, but instead, Three Fields Entertainment boss, Fiona Sperry, founded a new studio called When Tides Turn and surprisingly announced Wreckreation 2. Unlike the previous installment in the series, this one will be self-published. The announcement trailer shows a clear resemblance to Burnout Paradise, which is not surprising, given that some of that game's creators had joined Three Fields Entertainment.

When and Where Wreckreation 2 Will Be Released

Wreckreation 2 is currently under development: in creating its new arcade racing experience, When Tides Turn intends to take community feedback into great consideration. This racing title will be released on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam at a later date (not too soon), and some beta tests will be conducted in the future, which players can participate in.
