Windrose Amazes, Selling One Million Copies at Launch
The pirate survival sandbox seems to have already won over players

Titles like Valheim, Ark: Survival Evolved, or Rust share several common traits: they are all survival sandbox games, developed by independent studios, and most importantly, they boast sales in the tens of millions of copies, signaling enormous interest in this genre of gaming experiences. Now there's another such experience that might have what it takes to achieve similar success.
Windrose Sales
Windrose was released on PC on April 14 and adapted the survival sandbox theme to a pirate setting. Developed by Kraken Express studio with the help of publisher Pocketpair, the game has just begun its early access journey but seems to have already convinced gamers: in less than a week, Windrose sales have already surpassed 1 million copies. On Steam, more than 200,000 concurrent users have been recorded.
