Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 Releases in 2026, Gameplay Trailer
The return of the bloody retro shooter

Publishers Big Fan Games and Devolver Digital, in association with developer Auroch Games, have shared a new gameplay trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2. The sequel to the first-person retro shooter set in the Warhammer universe. This sequel will allow players to choose between two playable characters: the Ultramarine Malum Caedo and the Battle Sister Nyra Veyrath. There will be more enemies to face and more weapons available, all with the same spirit of pixelated carnage.
The new trailer offers a first look at the demons of Slaanesh. The story of Boltgun 2 is in continuity with its predecessor; regarding the first chapter, we at Gamesurf played it and in our review we appreciated the atmosphere that pays homage to '90s shooters and the healthy ignorance of gameplay that doesn't demand too much thought, although the level design made us wrinkle our noses a bit.
