War Machine – The Success and Expansion of the Story
The interesting "Elevation: Line of Survival" also tried, but without much success

Arriving on Netflix on March 6th, War Machine has quickly carved out a space among the platform's most-watched titles. The sci-fi action film directed by Patrick Hughes attracted attention thanks to a simple but effective formula: a group of soldiers, a military training mission that ends in catastrophe due to an alien war machine.
The protagonist of the story is Alan Ritchson, beloved face of the series Reacher. In the film, he plays the brooding Sergeant 81, a taciturn and lethal soldier tormented by a tragic past. The character is deliberately built as an enigmatic figure to those around him as he almost past the deadline attempts to complete the grueling training to become a Ranger. The ending of the story is completely open, leaving a desire to immediately see the continuation of the narrative.
A Planetary-Scale War
This aspect was immediately taken into consideration, despite the harsh reality the actors faced on set. In some promotional interviews, both Ritchson and director Hughes hinted that the film's narrative world could expand beyond the first chapter. The idea would be to delve deeper into the protagonist's story and broaden the conflict introduced in the film.
The plot initially unfolds as a military survival story: during an exercise, a team of recruits discovers an object fallen from the sky that turns out to be an extremely lethal alien machine. The confrontation with this belligerent robot is only the first sign of a much larger threat that is revealed in the finale. A great launching pad for a possible War Machine 2, provided Ritchson is willing to bite the dust again.
