Michael B. Jordan stars and directs, updating the classic without sacrificing its charm
Amazon MGM Studios has released the first trailer for The Thomas Crown Affair, a new version of the celebrated thriller that brings one of cinema's most iconic characters back to the big screen. Michael B. Jordan is the face and director of the project, which updates the classic, evidently without sacrificing the charm of the character created by Alan R. Trustman.
Starring alongside him are Kenneth Branagh, Adria Arjona, Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, and Pilou Asbæk, while the original soundtrack is entrusted to the multi-award-winning Jon Batiste. The screenplay is penned by Drew Pearce and Jason Hall, developed from a story by Pearce himself along with Alan R. Trustman, who wrote the script for the original film.

The production involves Outlier Society, Jordan's production company, Atlas Entertainment, and Toberoff Productions, with Alan R. Trustman credited as executive producer.
The worldwide theatrical release is set for March 5, 2027. The film will be part of Amazon MGM Studios' upcoming cinematic line-up, which in the preceding months will also distribute Verity, an adaptation of Colleen Hoover's novel scheduled for October 2, 2026, and I Play Rocky, the film directed by Peter Farrelly dedicated to the story behind the creation of Rocky, due out in November of the same year.
