Thomas Jane Sparks New Punisher Return Rumors
The image inevitably brought back memories of his physical preparation for the role
A new photograph of Thomas Jane has reignited speculation about the possible return of his Punisher in Avengers: Secret Wars. The actor shows a particularly imposing physique, accompanied by bandaged hands, just as the next big Marvel film approaches production.
Jane had played Frank Castle in 2004 and, after more than 20 years, the image inevitably brought back memories of the preparation he underwent for that role. However, there is no concrete evidence linking his current training to Secret Wars: the actor has not mentioned Marvel, and his potential involvement in the film has not been announced.

What makes the photograph even more curious are the bandages on his hands, which suggested training related to a potential action role. A connection that is far from verified, considering that the actor could simply be getting back in shape for personal or professional reasons.
Jane's return would, however, make sense within the Marvel multiverse. Deadpool & Wolverine has already demonstrated the studio's willingness to bring back previous actors and versions of characters. And there's another element to consider: Jon Bernthal is now once again Frank Castle in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Secret Wars could therefore represent an opportunity to bring different incarnations of the character to the same screen.
For now, Thomas Jane remains only at the center of a rumor born from a photograph. And Marvel has not yet added his name to the cast.
