The Game Awards 2026 Already Has an Official Date

The 2025 edition of The Game Awards was celebrated less than two months ago and its echo hasn't completely faded, but it's already time to look ahead: we're projecting towards the 2026 event, which as usual will take place at the Peacock Theater in Los Angeles. Obviously, it's too early to make predictions about the favorite games for the awards, but we can already tell you when the show will happen.

The Date of The Game Awards 2026

You don't need to make a big imaginative effort to guess the date: once again, the video game festival will fall on the second Thursday of December. To be precise, the appointment is set for December 10, 2026. For now, Geoff Keighley and company are not sharing further details, but as for the time, it's reasonable to expect that the live broadcast will air late at night between Thursday and Friday.
