Tekken 8, Kohei Ikeda Joins VS Studio and Reunites with Katsuhiro Harada
The director of the last two Tekken games joins the new studio founded by the former series head with SNK's support. The team's first project remains a secret.

Kohei “Nakatsu” Ikeda, game director of Tekken 7 and Tekken 8, has joined VS Studio, the new studio led by Katsuhiro Harada. The developer announced it directly on X on August 18, thus reuniting with the former series head after the conclusion of their long experience at Bandai Namco.
Ikeda had left Bandai Namco Studios on June 1, after twenty years with the company. His connection to Tekken had become central: Bandai Namco officially listed him as game director of Tekken 7 and Tekken 8 and development producer, while Harada held the role of executive game director and chief producer of the series.
In the message confirming his new role, Ikeda described VS Studio as the next step in his journey. Returning to develop video games with two of his former superiors brings him a certain nostalgia, he explained, but at the same time, he is already working on creating something completely new. However, no details about the project were provided.
