Subnautica 2 Prepares for Launch with Gameplay Trailer

Unknown Worlds Entertainment has shared a new trailer for Subnautica 2, giving us a taste of the underwater world that awaits players. It's a fascinating but inhospitable environment where players will need to try to survive by building a base; it's no coincidence that the voiceover in the video repeatedly emphasizes the concept of death… Judging by what's shown, the ocean of Subnautica 2 will not lack appreciable biodiversity.
Subnautica 2 is about to launch, having finally put the internal struggle between the developer and Krafton behind it. The game is set to arrive in three days: the release date is Thursday, May 14, 2026. Subnautica 2 will be released in early access: Unknown Worlds estimates that the early access period could last 2-3 years.
