Stay Still - Shyamalan's New Enigma
The screenplay is a collaboration between the Indian-born director and Nicholas Sparks

A man enters a beach house and meets a woman who could completely change his life. From this premise, Stay Still, the new film by M. Night Shyamalan, takes shape, shown by surprise at the Beyond Fest in Los Angeles and ahead of its release.
Jake Gyllenhaal is Tate Gordon, an architect who tries to start over after a difficult period. However, the encounter with Wren, played by Phoebe Dynevor, leads the story towards something much darker. Reality begins to lose its reference points and the relationship between the two takes on a supernatural dimension.
Shyamalan brings romance into the nightmare
The screenplay is a collaboration between Shyamalan and Nicholas Sparks, author of The Notebook. An unusual meeting that shifts the film towards a territory where emotion holds as much weight as mystery.
The first reactions from Beyond Fest describe Stay Still as an emotionally intense and, at times, overtly terrifying film. Some have called it the director's most sincere work, while others have highlighted how different it is from his previous works.
To understand where Shyamalan has taken this unusual combination of love and the supernatural, we will have to wait. For now, the film still holds most of its secrets, at least until February 4, 2027, its release date in Italian cinemas, while in the USA, the invitation is for Valentine's Day.
