State of Decay 3 resurfaces with alpha test announcement
After a long absence, Undead Labs' zombies are ready to return
State of Decay 3 was introduced to the world way back in 2020: six years later, very little has been seen of the game itself and a launch window is still missing, but finally something is moving. Its developer, the American studio Undead Labs, has shared a video to announce the start of a series of alpha tests. The narrator is Brant Fitzgerald, co-author of the franchise.
State of Decay 3 Playtests
For the previous State of Decay 2, Undead Labs highly valued feedback received from the community and intends to do the same with the third installment: starting next month, the studio will launch a series of alpha tests for the game. Fitzgerald anticipates that there will be 4-person cooperative multiplayer, some base building and resource management mechanics, and an all-new combat system.

To participate in the playtests, you need to sign up on the official website and hope to be selected. Fitzgerald added that the studio can't wait to share more news about State of Decay 3 with players: who knows, maybe the title might make a fleeting appearance at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase?
