Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, Switch 2 Version Releasing December 4
Better performance, cross-play, and physical cartridge edition
Sega has announced the release date for the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of its Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds. The racing game set in the world of Sonic (and beyond) will debut on the new Nintendo console on December 4. Owners of the Switch version will be able to upgrade for 10 euros, with a 50% discount until December 10. Furthermore, those who purchase the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition by December 17 will receive the "Werehog Pack" as a bonus.
On Switch 2, the title will run stably at 1440p and 60fps with a maximum of two players on screen, dropping to 30fps in the case of split-screen with three or four players. Similarly, in handheld mode, performance will be 1080p at 60fps for two players, dropping to 30 as the number of participants increases. Cross-play will also be supported, and a physical cartridge edition is planned, but it will be released in the first months of 2026.
