Silo 3 Expands Story Beyond Original Books
To keep Juliette at the center of the narrative, the creators have developed an original storyline

The third season of Silo will debut on Apple TV+ on July 3rd, but one of the most interesting new developments concerns the relationship between the series and Hugh Howey's novels. The new episodes will draw inspiration from Shift, the second book in the trilogy, but will not faithfully follow its structure.
Those familiar with the original works know that much of Shift takes place many years before the events recounted in the first two seasons. A choice that would have inevitably reduced the presence of Juliette Nichols, played by Rebecca Ferguson, the absolute protagonist of the television series.
A New Plot for Juliette

To avoid this detachment, the creators have decided to develop an original narrative line. The trailer shows Juliette grappling with fragmented memories and a truth that seems to have been withheld from her. This is an element that does not find the same space in the novels and could become the link between present and past.
The new season will thus alternate two timelines: on one hand, the origins of the silo project and the characters who determined its creation, and on the other, Juliette's journey to reconstruct what has been hidden from her. This choice opens up an unusual scenario even for readers of the saga. Many of the main events remain shrouded in mystery, making the evolution of the story less predictable than in previous seasons.
