Hayden Panettiere returns to play Kirby Reed in Scream 7, as confirmed by Entertainment Weekly. Beloved by fans of the saga, the actress debuted in Scream 4 as an ironic horror enthusiast who survived the massacre, and reappeared in Scream VI as an FBI agent.
In the new chapter, Kirby will team up with another timeless icon of the franchise: Sidney Prescott, played by Neve Campbell, marking her highly anticipated return. Set for release on February 27, 2026, the film will be directed by Kevin Williamson, original screenwriter of Scream (1996), based on a script by Guy Busick, also writer of Scream (2022) and Scream VI.
