Resident Evil Requiem launched on February 27th and immediately became a huge success: in less than a week, it sold over 5 million copies. An absolutely deserved achievement, because Requiem succeeds in offering an experience in perfect balance between classic survival horror and modern action, as we explain in our review. Riding on the wave of success, Capcom has announced some news for its title.

Resident Evil Requiem News

Through the official Resident Evil Twitter/X account, director Koshi Nakanishi shared a message regarding Requiem's future updates. There will still be updates aimed at resolving bugs and improving performance, but that's not all, because new content is also on the way. The first of these, coming soon, will be Photo Mode; later, around May, a mini-game will be introduced into the game, although Nakanishi does not specify what it will be.

The Resident Evil Requiem Expansion

But there's something bigger brewing: Nakanishi has announced a story expansion for Resident Evil Requiem. This additional content will show us even more of the game's world. When will it arrive? Well, for now it is still in development and a launch window has not been shared, but the director warns that we will have to wait a while.
