R-Type Tactics I • II Cosmos, Release Date and Physical Editions Confirmed

Finally, the wait is over. After eons, Granzella has confirmed the release date for R-Type Tactics I • II Cosmos. The collection, featuring remakes of the two R-Type Tactics games for PSP, will debut in Japan (and hopefully worldwide) on March 12, 2026, for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2 (a newly announced version), PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and Series X|S.

For the occasion, the physical editions for Switch, Switch 2 (on a game-key card, of course) and PS5 have been unveiled, which will accompany the title in stores. The most avid (and affluent) fans can also get their hands on the "Premium Box" for 18,920 yen (approximately 108 euros), which includes the game, a 1/100 scale model of the Rwf-9AG ARROW-HEAD Granzella Revolutionary Army Specs spaceship, and three acrylic miniatures.

In the West, R-Type Tactics I • II Cosmos will be published by NIS America, which has not yet mentioned a local release date. However, given that the Japanese version includes Italian and English among its languages, a simultaneous release is plausible, but we await official confirmation.
