Panzer Knights: Commander’s Edition, Anime Girls and Tanks on PS5 and Xbox
It's not Girls und Panzer, but we'll make do
PQube has announced the Commander's Edition of its Panzer Knights. The original, by Taiwanese team Joy Brick, was released in early access on Steam in 2020, before officially debuting the following year. The title offers third-person tank battles set in World War II, with an almost entirely female cast clearly inspired by Japanese anime.
It might be for you if you're a fan of the Girls und Panzer series and are looking for a themed video game (there are a couple actually, but they weren't released in our region). The Commander's Edition includes the base game plus the three released expansions, which feature several additional tanks. It will be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2026, with a physical edition planned for the Sony console. Here's the announcement trailer.
