Valheim Reaches Version 1.0 and Releases on PS5/Switch 2
The Norse survival game has taken its definitive form
Since its launch in February 2021 on PC (Steam) in early access, it was clear that Valheim was not just one of many survival games out there: its Norse setting and the severity of its formula immediately captivated millions of players. Much time has passed since then, and developer Iron Gate has released several updates, but today's is special because it is patch 1.0, marking the transition from early access to full version.
Valheim Patch 1.0
Valheim is already available on PC and Xbox One/Series X|S consoles: starting today, September 9, you can also find it on PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2 platforms. Patch 1.0 brings with it several new features, starting with a new biome, Deep North, which, as the name suggests, is characterized by a glacial climate. But there are also new gameplay mechanics, events, locations, plus the introduction of Achievements. Among the new content are over 40 new weapons, 80 buildable items, 30 materials, 20 types of food, 10 creatures, etc...
