Onimusha: Way of the Sword – Release Date and Demo
Capcom surprisingly lets us get our hands on their new work
The long-awaited return of the Onimusha saga finally has a date: Capcom chose the State of Play to make the announcement fans were waiting for. Onimusha: Way of the Sword will transport us to a dark fantasy version of 17th-century Japan, putting us in the shoes of the legendary swordsman Musashi Miyamoto, to eradicate the demon threat. When does Onimusha: Way of the Sword come out?
The new action title from Capcom will be released on September 25, 2026, and pre-orders are now open. In addition to PlayStation 5, Onimusha: Way of the Sword will also be released on Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam. The release date isn't the only news: surprisingly, a demo is now available on Sony's console, allowing players to try out the early stages of the game.
