New World Ends Support, Servers Remain Active for Another Year
Amazon's MMORPG concludes its journey, four years after its debut

When it launched in September 2021, New World garnered considerable interest: initially, the servers couldn't handle the impact caused by hundreds of thousands of players simultaneously. It seemed like the beginning of a great success for the MMORPG developed by Amazon Studios, but it was a situation not destined to last. After four years, New World's run has come to an end.
New World Closes Its Doors
With a message on the official website, the New World team announces the end of game support. Season 10 and the Nighthaven update, released in October, were the last major updates: from now on, there will only be eventual bug fix patches. New World is no longer available for purchase on Steam, but for now it is still available on the PlayStation and Xbox stores. To date, microtransactions have not been deactivated.
How Much Longer Does New World Last
The date for the server shutdown has not been specified, but it has been confirmed that they will be kept active throughout 2026, so players can continue to play with all existing New World content for approximately another year. Anyone who bought the game will still be able to download it; the same applies to PS Plus Extra and Premium users. Future communications regarding server shutdown will be announced at least 6 months in advance.
