Montezuma’s Revenge, 40th Anniversary Special Edition Arrives on Consoles

Handcrafted Mystical Games and Eastasiasoft have announced the console release date for the special 40th-anniversary edition of Montezuma’s Revenge. The remake of this scrolling puzzle-platformer, originally released in 1984 for Atari 2600, Apple II, ColecoVision, Commodore 64, and ZX Spectrum (among many others), will launch on PC via Microsoft Store, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Series X|S on December 10th for 14.99 euros.
Montezuma's Revenge - The 40th Anniversary Edition is already available on Steam, but it doesn't seem to have garnered much attention, with only three reviews to date. Collectors can also purchase the Standard and Limited physical editions for Switch from Play-Asia. The latter will include, in addition to the game on cartridge, a soundtrack CD, the Director's Cut of Montezuma's Revenge for PC on a USB stick, a certificate, and a manual.
