Marvel Zombies: The Animated Horror Miniseries Debuts on Disney+ on September 24
Marvel Animation relaunches the universe in a horror key with Marvel Zombies, a TV-MA miniseries arriving on September 24, 2025, on Disney+, featuring new heroes and desperate survivors

Marvel has decided to push the boundaries of family-friendly with Marvel Zombies, the new animated four-episode miniseries set to debut on September 24, 2025, on Disney+. It is the first animated project from Marvel Studios to receive a TV-MA rating, a sign of a darker, more adult tone, inspired by the comic book saga of the same name.
The plot begins with a shocking event: the Avengers are overwhelmed by a plague that transforms them into ravenous creatures, plunging the planet into an unprecedented apocalypse. In this desperate scenario, a handful of survivors attempt to find a cure, traversing a devastated world of ruined cities and infested lands.
The voice cast confirms the presence of numerous performers from the animated and live-action MCU: Elizabeth Olsen (Wanda Maximoff), Paul Rudd (Scott Lang), Florence Pugh (Yelena Belova), Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), Hailee Steinfeld (Kate Bishop), Tessa Thompson (Valkyrie), David Harbour (Red Guardian), Awkwafina, Iman Vellani (Ms. Marvel), and Dominique Thorne (Ironheart). Joining them is Blade, in his animated debut, voiced by Todd Williams.
The series is created by Bryan Andrews and Zeb Wells, also writers for What If…?, and produced under the supervision of Kevin Feige. According to Marvel Animation, Marvel Zombies will explore not only the horror of the plague but also the moral dilemmas of the protagonists, forced to choose between survival and sacrifice.
