Lanterns - Trailer Shows Hal Jordan in the New DC Universe
Behind the scenes, the genius Damon Lindelof, creative mind behind "Lost," is also involved.

The new DC universe led by James Gunn continues to take shape, and one of the next milestones will be Lanterns, an HBO series dedicated to the Green Lantern Corps. The first extended trailer offered a more concrete look at the production's tone, as well as revealing Hal Jordan's costume for the first time.
Hal Jordan is played by Kyle Chandler, while John Stewart is the young Corps member brought to life by Aaron Pierre. The dynamic between the pair seems to be one of the central elements of the series: the veteran, now accustomed to the universe's oddities, and the rookie, who is still learning what it truly means to wear the Green Lantern ring.
Wearing the ring is just the beginning
One of the most evident novelties concerns the design of Jordan's costume. The trailer suggests a much more concrete and less “luminous” approach compared to the past: the suit appears worn, almost operational, like the equipment of an intergalactic police officer rather than a classic superhero.
And this idea is also reflected in the narrative premise. The series will follow the two as they investigate a mysterious murder in the United States, bringing the Green Lantern universe into a territory that blends cosmic sci-fi and investigative thriller.
Behind the scenes, we find Chris Mundy as showrunner, with Damon Lindelof and Tom King involved in the writing. Lanterns will debut on HBO in August with a first season consisting of 8 episodes, so its transit through Italian channels Sky/NOW is expected.
