Keanu Reeves and Don Lee in Remake of Korean Thriller
Project reunites several names linked to action cinema

Keanu Reeves could share the screen with Don Lee in the remake of The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil, a 2019 South Korean thriller. According to The Hollywood Reporter, director James Wan will be behind the camera, while the deal with the John Wick actor is still in negotiation.
The original story follows an organized crime boss and a police officer forced to collaborate to catch a serial killer. Don Lee, who starred in the South Korean film, will return to play the gangster, while Reeves' potential involvement could bring new weight to the Hollywood production.
James Wan Directing, Stallone Among Producers

The project reunites several names linked to action cinema. Already director of Fast & Furious 7 and Aquaman, James Wan will helm the new version, with Sylvester Stallone involved as a producer. The most recent screenplay is penned by Eric Pearson, who also worked on Thunderbolts* and Fantastic Four: First Steps. Shay Hatten and Brian Helgeland previously contributed to the project.
The film does not yet have an official release date, and Reeves' potential participation needs to be confirmed. The encounter between the star of John Wick and Don Lee therefore remains to be defined, but it promises an unprecedented confrontation between two actors accustomed to very different fighting styles. It also remains to be seen how the relationship between the two characters will be developed.
