AAA Games Studio, Koei Tecmo, and Nintendo have announced the arrival of a new free update for their Hyrule Warriors: Age of Exile, the second since the game's launch. The content, scheduled for December 18, will bring the title to version 1.0.3 and introduce a series of interesting new features for the musou game set in the past of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

Players will be able to access "Phantom Mode," which features stronger enemies or those shrouded in gloom in already completed battles. Additionally, Phantom Ganon might pop out of nowhere to spoil the fun, but the rewards will be better. The "Taboo" difficulty level will also be introduced, even more challenging than the current maximum setting. We will also have new missions and additional challenges once the campaign is completed, new abilities for the Mysterious Golem, and a new one-handed sword.

Hyrule Warriors: Age of Exile is available exclusively on Nintendo Switch 2.
