Helldivers 2 – “Mechanical Oppression” Expansion is Available

February 11, 2026 – The war for Managed Democracy intensifies today in HELLDIVERS 2 with Mechanical Oppression, a major update that brings Helldivers directly into the industrial heart of Cyberstan.

The Cyborgs have returned, forming an alliance with the Automatons after stealing the blueprints for the Peace Star. Their objective is clear: mass production and large-scale deployment against Super Earth. Helldivers have been ordered to strike the enemy in their production strongholds.

New Environment: The Factory-Cities of Cyberstan

Helldivers will land on the Automaton homeworld to assault massive mega-factories and heavily fortified industrial zones. Players will need to collaborate on a galactic scale to decide which centers to dismantle, razing every structure and neutralizing enemy resistance. However, among the streets of Cyberstan, a new threat awaits our soldiers.

Old Enemies, New Threats

The Cyborg faction introduces three new enemy types:

• Agitators: Armored field commanders capable of coordinating Automaton squad tactics.
• Cyborg Radicals: Extremely aggressive frontline units, enhanced with cybernetic and biological implants.
• The Vox Engine: An imposing war machine piloted by high-ranking Cyborg officers, broadcasting propaganda while utilizing laser cannons, rockets, and Gatling weapons.

New Missions and Objectives

The update introduces new mission types focused on:

• Blocking Cyborg production;
• Sabotaging Automaton defensive infrastructure;
• Systematic destruction of mega-factories.

Reinforcements and Equipment

To support this new phase of the campaign:

• The "Siegebreakers" Warbond offers new defensive equipment, including the G/SH-39 deployable shield.
• The "War Horses" armor set is now available in the Superstore.

Global Reinforcement Limits

For the first time, the war effort will be limited by a Galactic Reinforcement Counter. Every fallen Helldiver will permanently reduce the total number of reinforcements available for the Battle of Cyberstan. If the counter reaches zero, the campaign will be declared lost. Survival, coordination, and defensive tactics will be more crucial than ever.
