As of today, January 13, 2026, HBO Max is officially available in Italy, bringing the entire Warner Bros. Discovery ecosystem together on a single platform for the first time: from HBO series to Warner Bros. films, and Eurosport sports content.

The service is accessible via web and dedicated apps, as well as through distribution agreements with TIM and Prime Video. Its arrival in Italy allows audiences to find HBO Original productions, Max Original series, cinematic titles from Warner Bros. Pictures and Warner Bros. Television, the DC universe, and the sports offering linked to Eurosport all in the same digital environment.

The Italian launch is part of a broader European expansion of the service, already active in numerous countries and now also available in Italy, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland.

How much does HBO Max cost?

The offering is structured into three monthly plans.

  • Basic with Ads (5.99 euros per month): viewing on 2 devices in Full HD.
  • Standard (11.99 euros per month): viewing on 2 devices in Full HD, 30 downloads (with
  • limitations).
  • Premium (16.99 euros per month): viewing on 4 devices in 4K Ultra HD with Dolby Atmos (where available) and 100 downloads (with limitations).

An additional Sports package is also available for 3 euros per month, which can be activated in conjunction with other plans. Sports content includes advertising, and simultaneous viewing is limited to two devices.

On the film front, Paul Thomas Anderson's A Battle After Another, starring Leonardo DiCaprio, stands out, alongside recent productions like Superman and Sinners, plus the entire Harry Potter saga.

Regarding series, among others, the second season of The Pitt, Industry, and A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms, a new chapter set in the Game of Thrones universe, are arriving. Alongside international titles, the first Italian original productions from HBO are also featured, starting with Marco Bellocchio's Portobello, starring Fabrizio Gifuni, and Melania Rea – Beyond the Case.

Finally, the sports offering includes full coverage of the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
