The production of the God of War live-action series is reportedly undergoing a sudden casting revision after Ryan Hurst's injury, who was indicated by several rumors as the chosen actor for Kratos. The actor's recovery time is said to be incompatible with the schedule planned by Sony Pictures Television and Prime Video, who intend to resume filming in October.
Among the names that have emerged with greater insistence is that of Braun Strowman, the stage name of b. The former WWE champion has attracted fans' attention by posting images and messages on social media that openly reference Kratos, even sharing a photo of an access pass to Amazon studios, a detail that has fueled speculation about a possible meeting with the production.
Production Races Against Time
According to information circulated in recent hours, a portion of the first season has already been completed. This would force the authors to evaluate possible solutions: from reshooting already completed episodes to the use of digital effects, up to the possibility of introducing the new actor without intervening on what has already been filmed.
Entrusted to showrunner Ronald D. Moore, the series will follow the Norse phase of the video game saga, focusing on the relationship between Kratos and Atreus. With the return to set scheduled for October, production will have to define Kratos's new face in the coming weeks, in order to meet the established schedule.
