Today, Genshin Impact updates to version 6.1, "Luna II". Among the main novelties of the new update are the playable character Nefer (5-star, Dendro, catalyst) and the new main Archon Quest, titled Lunar Song of the Firmament: Act III - A Nation That Does Not Exist. But most importantly, the patch marks the debut of a long-anticipated game mode, destined to expand Genshin Impact's gaming horizon.

Miliastra Mirabilia: User-Created Content

In Miliastra Mirabilia (Miliastra Wonderland in English), players can create a vast quantity of customized experiences to share with others. The core of this mode is therefore user-generated content, which can embrace the most disparate genres (see trailer below). Miliastra Mirabilia is currently in beta and features its own microtransaction system, which concerns cosmetic items and is distinct from that of Genshin Impact.

Accessing this mode will unlock an additional character called Manekino: this is a kind of avatar, with customizable appearance and clothing. The Manekino can be used not only within Miliastra Mirabilia, but also in the world of Genshin, to explore the overworld and can even fight. However, this extra character cannot participate in special modes such as Theater, Abyss, or Stygian.

From the game's lore perspective, Miliastra Mirabilia is a creation of Octavia, a powerful mage who is part of the Hexenzirkel organization and who, who knows, might become a playable character in the future. From a practical point of view, however, the new mode appears to be Hoyoverse's attempt to enter an extremely lucrative market segment, with Roblox as a benchmark. Leveraging Genshin Impact's vast user base for this purpose could prove to be a shrewd move; we will see how the situation evolves.
