FRITZ!Box 4630 Brings Wi-Fi 7 Home
Dual band 2x2 with total throughput up to 3.5 Gbit/s

AVM expands its range with the new FRITZ!Box 4630, an entry-level router designed for those who use a fiber optic modem (ONT) and want to take advantage of Wi-Fi 7 without high investments.
The device integrates a 2.5 Gbit/s WAN port for high-speed internet connections and offers dual-band 2x2 Wi-Fi 7, with a total throughput of up to 3.5 Gbit/s (2880 Mbit/s on 5 GHz and 688 Mbit/s on 2.4 GHz). Support for Multi-Link Operation (MLO) allows simultaneous connections on multiple bands, improving stability and latency in scenarios such as 4K streaming, online gaming, and smart working.
Entry-level but High Performance

The features also include a 2.5 Gbit/s LAN port, 2x Gigabit LAN ports, and 1x USB 3.0 for connecting external storage or printers. The telephony section is also present, with a VoIP PBX, integrated DECT base, and an analog port, in addition to smart home functions via DECT ULE.
Thanks to FRITZ!OS, the 4630 offers VPN, parental control, guest network, and a media server with NAS functionality. It can also operate as a Mesh hub, integrating FRITZ! repeaters and access points for uniform coverage throughout the home. With this model, AVM aims to make Wi-Fi 7 more accessible, without sacrificing multi-gigabit speeds and advanced home network management.
