Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 3 "is already playable"
Naoki Hamaguchi discusses the state of development
Final Fantasy VII Remake and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, as you probably know, are only two of the three parts of the titanic work undertaken by Square Enix to revive one of the most beloved chapters of the saga of crystals. Of the third chapter, whose exact title is not yet known, the house of Dragon Quest has not yet shown anything, but everyone knows that it is in development.
Recently, however, Naoki Hamaguchi, who is the game director of the chapter, just like the previous one, decided to open up a bit to the microphones of Automaton; the topic actually emerged while discussing the announced porting of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch, expected on June 3rd: Hamaguchi had to answer a question about the possible slowdown of work due to the porting.
"We have a dedicated unit within my team that handles the porting and works separately from the team that is developing the third chapter - explains Hamaguchi - The porting unit is deeply committed and is meticulously creating these versions, so I can trust them and oversee their work from a proper distance. This allows me to focus on the third game."
Final Fantasy VII Part 3: The State of Development
Obviously, at this point, anyone would have taken the opportunity to introduce a question about the state of development of Final Fantasy VII Re-Part 3 into the conversation: "The development of the third part is progressing very well, and we are almost exactly in line with the milestones we preset at the beginning of the project - declares Hamaguchi - The game is already in a playable state and at the moment we are in a final push phase, refining and perfecting the experience. We are at the stage where the quality improves day by day and every time we play it the scenario seems different, so it's genuinely exciting."
So, how long will we have to wait? "I think it won't be long before we are able to share some form of update with everyone." concludes Hamaguchi.
