The Boys Ends in Chaos, But the Future Is Already in Motion
One era closes, another begins: the series' universe continues to expand
The end of The Boys is approaching, and judging by the previews, it won't be a gentle farewell. The fifth season promises an all-out clash, with balances now destroyed and characters increasingly pushed towards extreme choices.
Jensen Ackles will return as Soldier Boy, but he hinted that the heart of the season will be primarily emotional. The conflict with Homelander will not only be physical but will delve into the characters' family roots, making the events even more destabilizing. This confrontation could completely redefine the series finale.
Spin-off Set in the 1950s Already Ready
Meanwhile, the other protagonists are also changing. Billy Butcher remains a ticking time bomb, while Mother’s Milk – played by Laz Alonso – seems to be dangerously approaching his radical vision. A clear sign: in the concluding season, no one is truly safe, not even morally. Behind all this remains the hand of Eric Kripke, who aims to conclude the story in the most extreme way possible, without compromise.
But it's not truly an end. The series' universe will continue with Vought Rising, a spin-off set in the 1950s that will explore the origins of the Vought corporation. Here, Soldier Boy will be at the center of the scene, also joined by Stormfront, played by Aya Cash. A conclusion that seems more like a passing of the torch towards the changing form of The Boys' world.
