Fast Forever - The Saga Finale Encounters a New Obstacle

The concluding chapter of Fast & Furious continues to be a topic of discussion, but this time not for impossible chases or new cast members. Alan Ritchson brought attention back to the project, speaking openly about the difficulties slowing down the production of Fast Forever, the work destined to close the saga's long run after Fast X.

Speaking on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, the actor explained that the project is moving forward but must contend with an increasingly difficult problem to ignore: costs. According to Ritchson, producing a blockbuster of this size requires enormous investments, and today, finding a balance between spectacle and economic sustainability has become much more complex.

It's Already Been 3 Years Since That Abrupt Ending

Over the years, the series has constantly raised the bar, transforming each episode into an even more ambitious challenge than the last. This very escalation has reportedly made it more complicated to plan the grand finale, which is called upon to meet audience expectations without further pushing the budget.

Ritchson does not, however, doubt the film's fate. The actor expressed confidence that Fast Forever will hit the big screen once a solution is found to the problems currently hindering production. For now, Universal continues to indicate March 17, 2028 as the release date, although the start of filming has not yet been officially announced.
