The universe of Fallout is expanding in a direction as unexpected as it is consistent with its spirit. After the great success of the main series, the platform is reportedly working on a new project set in the same world, but inspired not by the classic chapters of the saga, but rather by Fallout Shelter, the famous mobile management game.

According to rumors reported by insider Jeff Sneider, the new format would take the form of a competitive reality show, in which participants would have to manage a Vault just like in the video game: limited resources, difficult decisions, continuous unforeseen events, and a fragile balance between order and chaos. An idea that inevitably recalls experiments like Squid Game: The Challenge, but filtered through the irony and cynicism typical of Fallout.

Dark Humor and Strategy in TV Competition

The project would once again be produced by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy, through Kilter Films, in collaboration with Bethesda Game Studios, guaranteeing aesthetic and tonal consistency with the franchise. Filming could begin next year. Born as a mobile spin-off, Fallout Shelter has proven over the years to be one of the brand's most popular and long-lasting titles, thanks to its mix of strategy, dark humor, and “cruel but funmanagement.

Bringing it to TV would allow for exploring the world of Fallout from a new perspective, without interfering with the main series' plot. If confirmed, the project would once again demonstrate Prime Video's willingness to grow the brand creatively, experimenting with different formats and expanding the Wasteland's audience.
