Echoes of Aincrad Told Through an Animated Trailer

Publisher Bandai Namco has shared a new trailer for Echoes of Aincrad called Unanswered//Butterfly, which uses animated scenes to introduce the game's setting and its main characters. Echoes of Aincrad is an action/RPG whose story tells of a future MMORPG, a world where the lines between fiction and reality blur: what was supposed to be the most immersive video game ever becomes a nightmare, threatening to end the lives of its users. 

Developed by the Japanese studio Game Studio Inc, Echoes of Aincrad belongs to the Sword Art Online franchise. The game's release date is July 10, 2026, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). To learn more, you can check out the gameplay trailer and the story trailer.
