Echoes of Aincrad - Announcement and Release Date
The new title in the Sword Art Online franchise
Publisher Bandai Namco has announced Echoes of Aincrad, a new title belonging to the Sword Art Online universe. This action/RPG is set in a world dominated by the floating castle of Aincrad, a place as fascinating as it is dangerous. Here, players will have to create their own customized hero, who will improve as the story progresses, and will have to choose the most appropriate partner to receive support in combat.
Where and When Echoes of Aincrad Will Be Released
Developed in Unreal Engine by the Japanese software house Game Studio Inc (which also handles Synduality: Echo of Ada for Bandai Namco), the new title in the Sword Art Online universe was unveiled with a trailer, which we've included below. The game will be released on July 10, 2026: you will find Echoes of Aincrad on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Pre-orders are now open.
