Dune: Awakening Receives Chapter 3, with New DLC
There's a lot of new content on Arrakis. Let's take a look together.
Developer Funcom announces the release of Chapter 3, the largest free update released so far for Dune: Awakening. There are several changes for the title inspired by Frank Herbert's sci-fi epic: the main one concerns the endgame, which has been redefined with a new progression system. There are also updates to the main story, which continues with its third chapter.
Funcom has introduced five new specialization traits (Crafting, Gathering, Exploration, Combat, and Sabotage) that grant various bonuses to the player. The desert of Arrakis has been enriched with multiple contents: 10 Overland Map Locations, 5 Challenge Locations, and 5 Repeatable Testing Stations have been added. There are two new weapons: the Pyrocket flamethrower and dual daggers. Furthermore, there are plenty of rewards, cosmetic items, etc...
The Raiders of the Broken Lands DLC
You can find the complete list of new features in the changelog on the official website. Along with Chapter 3, Raiders of the Broken Lands, a paid DLC, has also been released, selling for €9.99. The content is included at no additional cost in the Deluxe and Ultimate editions, as well as in the Season Pass. This DLC offers cosmetic items: 74 building pieces and 17 decorations.
