Dune: Awakening Coming to PlayStation 5 in September, Here's What to Expect
Funcom details the features of the console version

After spending a year on PC, Dune: Awakening is preparing to arrive on consoles. The PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions of the sci-fi survival game were confirmed a month ago, with a release set for September 22. Now developer Funcom has shared an in-depth trailer, explaining how the experience has been modified to work on PlayStation 5.
Dune: Awakening Features on PS5
The studio has carried out optimization work for Sony consoles, adapting the interface and controls to the specific needs. Regarding performance, Dune: Awakening will run in upscaled 4K resolution on PS5, but the native resolution is not specified. The frame rate will be 60 FPS (with frame gen) in performance mode and 30 FPS in quality mode. On PS5 Pro, resolutions and frame rates will be the same, with the difference that 60 FPS will be achieved in performance mode without the need for frame gen.

On the gameplay side, the big news will be the single-player mode: this is a feature long requested by users but difficult to implement within an experience designed for multiplayer. Funcom had to get creative to maintain the sense of competition for resources that characterizes the game. On PlayStation 5, Dune: Awakening will be available in both digital and physical formats.
