Dragon's Dogma 2 will expand this autumn with Dark Arisen, an expansion that will introduce a new snowy area, called Norgan, with a dozen dungeons and, of course, a series of new enemies, weapons, armor, skills, etc... This additional content will be available from October 9, 2026, purchasable individually or in a bundle with the base game on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. From the same day, the edition including the base game + DLC will also be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 console.

Dragon's Dogma 2 Updates

Ahead of the expansion, Capcom has decided to tidy up its work: an update has arrived on PC (Steam) that has brought various improvements to the experience with assorted quality of life features, interface and text adjustments, and bug fixes. Another update, scheduled for late August, will bring further quality of life improvements and, most importantly, will perfect the game's performance. Of course, Capcom could have addressed these crucial improvements much sooner, without waiting for the expansion, but so be it…

Dragon's Dogma 2 Microtransactions

Let's move on to a thorny topic. You might remember that Dragon's Dogma 2 was harshly criticized for microtransactions deemed too invasive: if you don't recall, our special feature will refresh your memory. Well, in view of the expansion, Capcom has decided to resolve the issue once and for all, eliminating almost all microtransactions. Starting June 24, these DLCs will no longer be available, nor will the Deluxe Edition be for sale. Furthermore, the base version of the game will receive a permanent discount.
