Directive 8020: A Trailer Summarizes It in Just 60 Seconds
A close look at Supermassive Games' new horror adventure
Supermassive Games, the British studio specializing in narrative horror adventures (Until Dawn, The Quarry, The Casting of Frank Stone) has joined forces with publisher Bandai Namco for Directive 8020, a sci-fi horror game centered around a space expedition to the distant planet Tau Ceti f. The crew of the spaceship Cassiopeia, consisting of 5 members, will have to contend with a lethal alien creature.
As is traditional for Supermassive, the experience will be characterized by very difficult choices, which sometimes must be made within seconds and on which the outcome of the story… and the fate of those living it, will depend. The proven narrative structure will be enriched with some new features: there are stealth sequences and, most notably, a node system, which allows players to go back to certain points and make different choices.
Directive 8020's Multiplayer
Another new feature is the multiplayer for up to 5 players, where each person plays a crew member. This mode will be available locally from launch, while it will arrive online with a free update at a later date. Directive 8020 will be available from May 12, 2026. You will find the new work by Supermassive Games on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
