Dead or Alive 6 Last Round - Launch Trailer
Team Ninja's fighting game returns to screens, but it's not in top form
Publisher Koei Tecmo and developer Team Ninja announce the release of Dead or Alive 6 Last Round. The game is available starting today, June 25, on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam), accompanied by the launch trailer you can find below. DoA 6 Last Round is offered in two editions: Standard, which for €39.99 gives access to all modes and 29 characters, or Core, which is free but only contains 4 fighters (the others can be purchased separately).
The original Dead or Alive 6 was released in 2019, and many things have happened since then, most notably the departure of Tomonobu Itagaki, the series' creator. Last Round decently optimizes the game for the current generation, but it's a lazy operation, lacking significant new features and with serious shortcomings, such as the absence of rollback netcode and crossplay.
