Changeable Guardian ESTIQUE, the NES shmup, arrives on PC and consoles in 2026

Cat Hui Games and Amata Games will bring Changeable Guardian ESTIQUE to PC and consoles in 2026. This pixelated horizontal-scrolling shooter is one of those "modern classics," as it was developed to run on NES and Famicom, where it was released in December 2024.

The port for modern platforms will include both versions for the 8-bit Nintendo console (which apparently have different stories), a quick save and load function, full support for traditional controllers, a gallery mode with manuals and illustrations, and a CRT filter in case you miss that hit of nostalgia.

Changeable Guardian ESTIQUE will be released on PC via Steam and Microsoft Store, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
