Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement Gets New Gameplay Trailer
The 2.5D gothic metroidvania will be released next year
At Tokyo Game Show, publisher 505 Games and developer ArtPlay shared a trailer for Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, a metroidvania produced by Japanese game designer Koji Igarashi. The game transports us to a gothic fantasy version of 16th-century England, where the castle of Drac… ahem, excuse me, of the demon lord Elias terrorizes the local population. It will be up to the brave young men Leonard and Alexander to defeat evil.
The new trailer gives us a taste of the gameplay system based on the two protagonists, to be used simultaneously: judging by what is shown, it seems that combat has greater relevance compared to the previous Ritual of the Night. Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement was expected in 2026, but has been postponed to 2027: you will find this title on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Xbox PC).
