ASUS is refreshing its range of gaming notebooks for 2026, introducing substantial updates to both the ROG Strix series and the TUF Gaming line. This generational leap is based on the new Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 50 series GPUs, with the aim of improving performance and fluidity in the most demanding titles.

The ROG Strix G16 and G18 models represent the core of the offering, with configurations reaching up to RTX 5080 Laptop and high refresh rate displays. The G16 features a 2.5K 300Hz panel, while the G18 introduces a Mini LED HDR solution designed for more impactful visual rendering. ASUS has also worked on cooling, adopting an advanced system with a vapor chamber and optimized internal design to maintain high performance over time.

Generational Leap in Gaming Laptops

On the TUF Gaming front, the update primarily involves the 16" and 18" models, now available with high-frequency OLED or IPS screens. The new configurations, based on Intel CPUs and AMD Ryzen, go up to RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti GPUs, offering a more pronounced balance between power and efficiency.

There is also a growing focus on modularity: several models allow tool-free upgrades, facilitating access to memory and storage. An even more extreme Strix SCAR 18 variant is also on the way, destined to further push performance levels.
