ASUS ROG has announced the new ROG NUC 16, a compact gaming mini PC designed for gamers, creators, and advanced AI workloads. Despite a volume of just three liters, the system integrates up to Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU with 16 GB of dedicated GDDR7 memory.

The new model promises a significant performance leap over the previous generation, supporting up to 128 GB of DDR5-6400 RAM and technologies like NVIDIA DLSS 4.5 with Multi Frame Generation. ASUS is also heavily focused on local AI processing: the system achieves up to 1334 AI TOPS, making it suitable for LLM models and personal AI agents run directly on the device.

Extreme Power in Just 3 Liters of Chassis

Great attention has also been paid to cooling. The QuietFlow Cooling system uses three fans and a dual vapor chamber to maintain low temperatures and noise, staying below 38 dBA even under heavy load. A dedicated SSD heatsink is also present, useful for reducing throttling during gaming and video editing.

Aesthetically, the new Moonlight White Edition also debuts, featuring a metallic chassis and a removable stand for vertical or horizontal use. Connections include Thunderbolt 4 and support for up to 5 4K displays or 8K gaming.
