ASRock Updates AM5 BIOS to Resolve Boot Issues
The new BIOS specifically addresses certain cases of system boot failure
ASRock has announced the availability of a new beta BIOS for its AMD AM5 motherboards, designed to improve system stability and compatibility. The update integrates the AGESA ComboAM5 PI 1.3.0.0a firmware, provided by AMD after a phase of technical collaboration aimed at resolving critical issues reported by users.
The new BIOS, identified as version 4.07.AS01, specifically addresses certain cases of system boot failure. According to ASRock, the problem can manifest even after long periods of use, with PCs suddenly failing to boot. The update is therefore recommended for all users experiencing this type of anomalous behavior.
Fundamental BIOS Upgrade
In addition to resolving boot issues, the beta BIOS introduces general optimization of DDR5 memory compatibility, contributing to greater overall reliability of the AM5 platform. ASRock emphasizes that this is a beta release, but confirms that a definitive version of the BIOS will be distributed shortly through official support channels.
Users can immediately download the new BIOS from the dedicated ASRock support page for AM5 motherboards and install it using the Instant Flash or Flashback functions, depending on the model used. The company finally reiterates its commitment to ensuring constant updates and close collaboration with AMD for the long-term stability of the platform.
